The regional marketing function supports the region through strategic and tactical marketing, business development and communications activity. It plays a direct role in winning work as well as managing the firm's approach to the market.
Following a strategic review, the need has been identified for the appointment of a COUNTRY MARKETING DIRECTOR, based in Jakarta, whose role will be to contribute to the realization of the region’s business aims through design, development and execution of the marketing strategy
Reporting to the Region Chair, this is a highly visible and influential role, offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience and advancement within this unique and prestigious organization at an exciting stage in its development
The Position
Support the region in achieving its strategic objectives through effective and efficient communications, marketing, and business development activity
Lead and manage the marketing team including marketing, business development, communications and visual communications.
Contribute directly to the firm in winning project work.
Champion a client focus and help to identify and explore market opportunities.
Work with the Board, sub-region leadership teams, offices, Business Leaders and Practice Leaders to shape, implement and manage the company approach to the market.
Lead the region’s communications both externally and internally
Key Responsibilities
Form with thebusiness leaders a clear industry-wide view of market potential, opportunity and competitive threat (including identifying clients by type, buying patterns, and where cross-selling opportunities exist).
Develop, implement and manage a strategy to deliver an effective marketing, business development, communications and visual communications function for the region.
Sharpen the firm's approach to the market to ensure optimization of potential with existing and new clients.
Take responsibility together with the Board and the business leaders for how clients, influencers and other stakeholders view the firm in the marketplace.
Set clear collective and individual performance objectives and measures to ensure this function and the wider team is able to demonstrate progress and an active contribution to the region.
Be the Skills Leader for all marketing, business development, communications and visual communications staff in the region.
Ensure that the region stays abreast of (and leads, where appropriate) improvements in marketing, business development, communications and visual communications activity within the Group.
Ensure staff have access to standard components, collateral, tools and approaches that will help them win work, reduce cost of sale and improve conversion rates.
Advise the region Board and the leaders of the business on external relations in the region including crisis management.
Mentor, guide and develop the future leaders of the region marketing, business development, communications and visual communications function
The Person
Degree qualified in marketing or a business discipline
A track record of achievement in marketing, business development and communications, gained within professional services or another relevant sector.
Management of a marketing, business development, communications and visual communications function.
Experience of reporting to, and working at Board level, including being able to set out recommendations, clear priorities and actions plans: being a trusted adviser.
Proven team leadership, management and implementation skills
Sound understanding of best practice in marketing, business development, communications and visual communications.
